💎 The Silk-Cotton Difference

Silk brings the sheen, drape, and strength. Cotton brings breathability, structure, and a matte counterbalance. Together, they create a thread that is strong yet delicate, lustrous yet natural — ideal for heirloom-quality work that lasts.

🌿 Natural. Ethical. Crafted in India.

Produced in India using time-honored silk-spinning traditions, this yarn reflects our commitment to natural fibers and artisan craftsmanship. Each spool is wound with care to ensure consistent tension and zero breakage during use.

Nothing about this yarn was in keeping with how it was advertised. The yarn was to thin for knitting or crocheting..
Very disappointing. Costumer service was poor to non exsistent.

I got a large batch of this to make a sweater after I bought a skein of variegated green out of curiosity and loved it. In comparison, this “luxe” version is much more uniform in both color and texture, but still has some bits where the silk threads bunch up. I love that, personally. It gives the yarn character. There are some regions of maroon and orange in there, too, that give it a nice depth, but it’s definitely RED red. Like, if NASA wanted to put color swatches on a space probe to show aliens from a black-&-white planet the meaning of red, they should send this yard, because it’s red.

Also I tried express shipping this time and it took THREE DAYS. Which, considering it takes a human almost two to make the same journey, is pretty impressive.

To the shop owner and everybody involved in making this yarn: thank you.

I was looking for something to use in my basket weaving, and this turned out to be just what I needed! It isn't very stiff-- it holds its structure while still being a bit flexible. It definitely isn't flexible enough to be used in clothing, but it is really good for baskets, small tote bags/purses, etc. It's still very strong for newspaper, and I love that it's printed in Hindi!

What interesting and super cool yarn! Made from newspaper somehow, guaranteed that no one else will have creations made from this great yarn unless they purchased here on Etsy from this seller, too!

The ribbon came and I think it's beautiful! I plan to incorporate it into my macrame. I think it will work wonderfully. I definitely intend to shop for more, in the future!
